This vintage The Sporting News Record Book for 1939 commemorates the baseball centennial, with a photo of Abner Doubleday in the center. It is in EX overall condition and completely intact, and though diminutive at only 3x5.5, it packs quite the punch, as it is black ink-signed on the front by 11 men who were original 1930's inductees to the Hall. Included are Cobb, Ruth, Wagner, Johnson, Alexander, Mack, Lajoie, Speaker, Sisler, Collins and Young. That is star power that goes beyond star power, and with everyone now deceased over a half century, retail is mid thousands!!!
