This Cooperstown NY Birthplace of Baseball First Day of Issue cachet is dated from the June 12, 1939 grand opening of the baseball Hall of Fame. It is hand-signed in what appears to be black artist's pencil by the greatest of them all, Yankees legend Babe Ruth, and grades a light but legible 5. With Ruth now gone now more than 75 years, retail on this baby is low thousands!
